The 21st annual John Fraser 10 mile race is a one lap rural undulating course around Countesthorpe, Willoughby Waterleys, Ashby Magna and Peatling Magna, starting and finishing at Willoughby Road playing fields LE8 5UA.
The route is marked in miles and there will be 3 water stations on the course (3.1 miles, 6.6 miles and 7.8 miles) with another one at the end of the race. A charity cake stall will also be available after the finish once you have collected your race memento and water bottle.
The race is licensed under a UKA permit and Certificate of Course Accuracy 14/275.
It is the final summer league race in the Leicestershire Road Running League (LRRL) and it is also the Leicestershire 10 Mile Championship race.
Registration, changing, toilets, showers and car parking at Countesthorpe Community College, LE8 5PR, please car share where possible. If the College car park is full please use side streets considerately. Baggage may be left at the College at the owner's risk.
There will be a sports stall from Leicester Running Shop at the College.
Chip timing will be used for this race. The chip will be attached to the rear of the number - do not detach it. Numbers and timing chips will not be mailed out but must be collected on the day by club representatives and unattached runners. To confirm that your entry has been successful please check the EventEntry website where the entrant list will be shown.
The start is a 15 minute walk from the College so please allow sufficient time. Additional portaloos and a urinal block will be available at the playing field.
Prize giving will take place in the Main Hall at the College as soon as possible after the race and a bar is available from 10:30am to 2.00pm.
