If you love bridges then you are in for a treat. The marathon route has 43 of them to pass under or cross over.

Course: Runners will head North along the Lancaster canal towpath for 6.55 miles then return to finish the half marathon. Those completing the marathon, will then head South along the towpath for 6.55 miles, before returning to the finish.

The 10K will follow the same route as the half marathon but with a shorter turn point.

The Ultra (32 miles) will follow the same route as the marathon and then go back out to follow the 10K route.

Course information:The course is on a flat canal towpath along the Lancaster canal.

Starting at Guys canal side tavern, runners will head North passing through Bilsborrow, before reaching the market town of Garstang. All runners will return back to Guys, with the half marathon finishing here. All marathon runners will head South, passing the small villages of Woodplumpton & Swillbrook before reaching Salwick. Here all runners will return back to Guys for a welcome finish.

We will keep you going with sweet and savoury snacks, water, cordial & coke.

All finishers will receive a bespoke medal.
