Come and join us for this most poignant and special Virtual on the weekend on June 11th-13th.
The pandemic has had a huge impact on the lives of everyone. From mental health issues, missing out on family time, children not going to school and life being on hold.
However, nothing compares to those who have sadly lost loved ones to this dreadful virus.
One of our lovely runners Bev Johnson, lost her mum to Covid and through her grief, decided helping others was the way forward. So the Bwlch Yellow Heart of Stones was born. This impressive monument on the side of the Bwlch mountain is a huge heart of yellow stones with the flags of hundreds of names of people who lost their battle with Covid and were taken all too soon.
It has become a place of reflection and a focal point for many people in recent months and has even been recognised as a point of interest on google maps.
We have been lucky as a family run business and not suffered either having Covid or losing anyone that we know to this virus. We consider ourselves most fortunate.
With that in mind, we decided to support this amazing cause and help raise funds towards some memory benches that will be placed in the area.
So your challenge is to walk or run any distance you choose on the weekend of Friday 11th to Sunday 13th June. We are hoping this will become a yearly virtual event.
For your entry fee, you will receive a huge 100mm very special bespoke medal, plus a bag of chocolate sugar coated yellow hearts.
Most importantly, £2 from every entry with be given to the Bwlch Yellow Heart of stones towards their memory benches. We are making very little from this event and have taken on all the costs in the hope of raising awareness and funds for those who lost their lives.
If you can, take a trip up to this amazing sight #loveforthelost.
Over the weekend of June 11th-13th we would love you to flood Facebook and voila media with images of you with your medals and photos of you on or after your runs.
Please follow us on Facebook Infinity Running and also follow the Bwlch Yellow Heart of Stones Page. Let’s fill the world with yellow hearts!
Thank you for signing up and helping to remember those who were taken far too early.
Medals will be posted out in the first week on June ready for the virtual event.
