This community event is for runners and walkers of all ages and abilities. Come on your own or bring the family and take part in this cross country, rural 5km fun run - enjoy the clearly signed and marshalled footpaths around Paradise Wood and return to The Plough for well-deserved refreshments (you will be able to buy drinks and food in the pub or opt for the fund-raising barbecue outside).

There are category awards for boys and girls (Under 8, Under 12, Under 18) and men and women (18-39, 40-64, 65 and over). There is first aid, and a drinks station half way around the course. It is a very safe course, off road and through beautiful countryside. Well behaved owners with their dogs on leads are permitted. The course may be suitable for sturdy buggies if the weather has been dry! There is one road crossing, which is well marshalled. Children under 8 must be accompanied on the course. Children under 16 must have a guardian's permission.

The event starts at 11am, Sunday April 28^th. Please arrive at The Plough (OX14 4QH) by 10.30am. Note there is no car parking at the Plough - please follow signs to the car park at The Wood Centre, Little Wittenham Road, OX14 4QT. Number cards will be reserved for participants who have entered in advanced and should be picked up on the day, together with safety pins - these must be pinned on the front of all participants. There will be a short warm-up to music to prepare you for the fun ahead!

If you would like to enter as a family please the family ticket and then emailthe details of each entrant separately (name, DOB) - a family is considered to be two adults with as many of their children that they can persuade to take part! (There is a family trophy awarded by a small panel of judges based on speed/ size of team/ or something else!)

Fastest Villager ?
If you are a resident or previous resident of Long or Little Wittenham, or currently attend the village school you can enter the competition for the fastest man/woman in the village (whatever your age!) Please let me know if you are eligible.

Entries on the Day
We will be accepting entries on the day, provided we have some available still, but we would really, really prefer you entered in advance to save our entries team the hassle of getting everyone registered before the finishers arrive back! To deter you entering on the day the prices will be higher:
