ABERFAN MEMORIAL RUN
We know many of you are disappointed that the in-person event sold out so quickly so here is your opportunity to take part in your own way.
We have made this event available as a virtual run and any distance from 1 mile and up will earn you the beautiful medal.
On 21 October 1966, tragedy struck the Welsh village of Aberfan when a colliery spoil tip collapsed after heavy rainfall. The resulting avalanche of slurry engulfed Pantglas Junior School and nearby homes just after the school day began. 144 people died, including 116 children and 28 adults.
Run in remembrance of the victims of the Aberfan Disaster 60 years on.
A contribution from every race entry will be donated to the Aberfan Memorial Charity.
