The VIRTUAL Croft Canter
Monday, 31 December 2018
If you would still like to run The Croft Canter but missed the entries or couldn't make the date, why not take part in The Virtual Croft Canter?
It is a 10 mile trail run to raise money for LOROS Hospice for the terminally ill. Starting in the rural village of Croft, the route will be using the public footpaths and bridleways through farmland in the local areas surrounding Croft Village.
For the virtual event you will still be running the same route, just at a time to suit you (after the main event on 22 September), and you can choose a different starting point if you wish.
Participants will be emailed a route map, detailed description and a gpx file. When you have completed the run, simply send your evidence to email@example.com from your garmin/strava etc and your Croft Canter medal will be sent out to you! A Virtual Leaderboard will even be posted on Facebook periodically so you can see where you compare if you wish.
It should be noted that all participants are responsible for their own welfare and safety. There are roads to cross and also a rail crossing. IF YOU CAN SEE A TRAIN YOU DO NOT HAVE TIME TO CROSS! All runners participate at their own risk. We suggest participants run in pairs and carry a mobile phone in case of emergency.
Entries are just £8 for this challenge, to raise money for LOROS and have a fun time running through the countryside and exploring new areas whilst doing so. We hope you enjoy it!
