Sikhs In The City Summer Samosa Ultra 2025

Sikhs In The City (SITC) is pleased to announce the date for our Summer Samosa Ultra friendly race will be on Sunday 29 June 2025.

We are maintaining the individual entry fees at £39 for the Half, Full & Ultra distances, £95 for Team Relay Ultra and £19 for the 10km.

If you do have to pull out for any reason, in accordance with our No Refund or Transfer Policy we will offer you a deferred place at our next Dawn To Dusk or similar event such as the Fauja Singh Birthday Challenge.

We welcome back all of our loyal regulars, while also encouraging first timers to give us a try. To clear all previous deferrals the number of entries are limited to 280 for the longer races and 95 for the 10km.. There is also the Team Relay Ultra race starting at the same time as the longer races limited to the first 20 teams (of FIVE) who register. The entry fee for the Team Relay Ultra is £95 per team (£19/team member).

Entries close on Monday 19 May 2025. There will be NO LATE OR ON THE DAY ENTRIES

The Start/Finish will again be next to the car park of Teresa Gavin House, 310 Southend Road, Woodford, Woodford Green, IG8 8FA.

The route is an undulating but wheelchair friendly and mostly on good tarmac surface.

As the start time is at 10:00am, race numbers and timing chips will need to be collected on the day as below:

22km, Marathon, Ultra & Team Relay Ultra between 8:30am and 9:45am

10km between 11:45pm and 12:45pm.

All registered entrants will be emailed the full list of running numbers by 27 May 2025

* Longer races start at 10:00 am - No early start for 10km runners.

* 10 Km race will start at 1:00pm.

* When you complete 11 laps of a certified 2.014 Km course you will receive a 22km medal

* Complete 21 laps to receive a Marathon medal

* Complete at least 25 laps and you will have earned an Ultra medal - RANKING BY TOTAL LAPS COMPLETED.

* Teams of up to five runners per team (only one runner active at any one time) have to complete 25 laps in total for the Team Relay Ultra medals

* You can run until 6:00pm but finish the lap if you have started it by 5:59:59.

* Chip timed so you can see how you did each lap later as well as on the big electronic board at the Start/Finish

* Rewards include a unique/bespoke race medal and event T-shirt,

* Awards for 1^st three males and females in each race and 1^st three teams in the team Relay Ultra.

* The awards for the individual Ultra will take place at 6:15pm

* When registering Teams, only Team Captain details required with separate email of team members giving Age, Gender & T-shirt sizes

There is a bag, loos and a feeding station at the Start/Finish of each lap serving usual drinks, chocs, fruit, tea/coffee and samosa/onion bhaji. A separate table for personal drinks too.

* The event has all the usual support of paramedics, marshals and is fully insured.

* The course is certified for distance and the Marathon/Ultra will count towards your 100 Marathon Club total.

* There is free parking along the route but you are asked to park at least 100m away from the start/finish (suggest GPS reference IG4 5PS)

Age limits: 18yrs for 22km+ distance and 11yrs if accompanied for 10km.
