Sikhs In The City Royal Wedding 10km & Prince Louis 2km Fun Run

To mark the Royal wedding and the birth of Prince Louis, Sikhs In The City running club have organised two runs on their training route on Sunday 20 May 2018. All monies from the entry fees after costs will be shared equally by two local charities, these are:
Age UK Forget-Me-Not Befriending Service
This service is a volunteer based befriending scheme for older people who are isolated and who live in Redbridge. This can be either via a weekly home visit or phone calls, Monday to Friday up to five times a week.
In addition to providing companionship it also acts as a welfare monitoring service. Referrals are accepted from other agencies or directly from the older person or their family.
Redbridge Faith Forum
Redbridge Faith Forum aims to promote respect, co-operation and understanding by bringing people of different faiths together at organised events and public forums.
There are two events:
A 10 km race comprising five laps of a 2 km course and a 2 km Intergenerational Fun Run to be run/walked in pairs where one has to be a grandparent and the other being a grand child - both must be attached to each other for the duration of the run/walk - either by holding hands, sharing a baton or being pushed in a buggy or wheelchair.
Times of runs
10 km - Registration & number pick up from 8:45 am, run starts at 10:00 am
2 km Fun Run - Registration & number pick up from 10:45 am, run starts at 12:00 Noon
Location and route Start location has been confirmed as junction of Woodford Bridge Road with Roding Lane South - next to PDSA Centre, (GPS setting IG4 5PS).
The run will be a circular route of Woodford Bridge Road, Woodford Avenue, Roding Lane South - a distance of 2km. The 10km run will be 5 laps of the same course. Not chip timed but finishing times will be recorded.
10 km - £10 - Must be over 16 years of age
2 km Fun Run - £10 per adult/child pairing. ('Child' would be defined as under 16.)
All finishers will receive a commemorative medal and bottled water will be available for participants.
You will then just pick up your running number and safety pins on the day at the times shown above.
The event has Public Liability Insurance and Volunteer marshals from the two charities will be assisting Sikhs In The City members for your safety.
Please note that there are no changing/showers or toilets on the course.
