The twentieth edition of The Seagrave Wolds Challenge.
The route changes every year but typically it is approximately 16 miles (though this year in celebration of the 20th anniversary there is an optional 4-mile loop*). It is a cross country run / walk over varied terrain through the beautiful Leicestershire Wolds countryside using footpaths and sections of private land.
The event is more of a personal challenge against the terrain, weather conditions and distance rather than a race. Well behaved dogs are welcome. To sustain competitors there are food and drink stops on the route while at the finish cobs, cakes and the legendary Seagrave apple crumbles are served.
If places remain after the EventEntry closing date, this will be communicated via the Wolds Challenge website with entries being accepted on the day up to the event capacity.
Proceeds are donated to a number of local charities and the Royal British Legion.
Entrants under 16yrs must be accompanied by an adult.
* Cut off time applies to additional loop
