Scrimshire's Scramble

Your community-led trail run held at North Leverton Windmill returns for a second year!
Our goal for organising Scrimshire's Scramble 10k (actually nearer 10.5k, shhh) is to encourage people to partake in a running event that is welcoming, friendly, and rewarding however you go at it.

It is an off-road trail course that uses local country lanes, byways and public footpaths, with the terrain a mixture of muddy terrain underfoot and in places, a touch of firmer lanes that will offer you beautiful views over South Yorkshire, North Nottinghamshire and North Lincolnshire, with the start and finish at our striking and glorious Windmill in North Leverton.

All finishers will receive a bag of bread flour milled here at the Windmill, a uniquely designed sustainable medal and a jar of very local honey.

Walk it, jog it, run it, or scramble it. You do it your way.

Green lanes, byways and public footpaths through fields. A mixture of soft and muddy underfoot in places with a touch of hard-standing lanes.

North Leverton Windmill Trust have kindly agreed to green light Scrimshire's Scramble for its second year, owing to the amazing success the first Scramble was in 2025. One of the primary reason for holding this event is to bring in visitors to Windmill and raise money through donations and entry fees to help keep the 212 year old corn-mill turning for visitors for many more years to come. The event is not-for-profit, and the whole organisation is ran by proud volunteers.
