Consett Canicross are delighted to announce our 2025/26 Season Finale
Following the success of our first ever weekend event, we are doing it all again! Join us for a weekend celebration of Canicross at the awesome Wheelbirks Parlour..
Open to participants of all abilities - and accessible to anyone that wants to experience the exhilaration of running the races, joining activities or a full weekend stay with on-site camping..
Races start at 9am on Saturday and Sunday and will feature a seeded start (based on your estimated finish time) for 5k of fun, technical and mainly flat (by Consett Canicross standards) mix of trails. This is a unique opportunity to run fantastic trails that are not open to the public!

Registration/number collection opens at 8am on the race morning and will be available until 15 minutes before the start time.

Race T&Cs:
Entries are non refundable (may be transferred to later event - deferral request must be made before the entry cut-off date)
Entrants must be over 16 (human)
Dogs must be over 1 year (or 18 months for large breeds) to participate in Canicross Races.
You must have 3rd Party Insurance in place for your dog(s)
Dogs must be under the control of an adult at all times (16+)
Participants are permitted to run with a maximum of 2 dogs
By registering you confirm that you and your dog are physically fit to participate
You also confirm that you have read and agree to our Code of Practice and Pre Event Declaration by continuing to register (these can be viewed at fit2thecore.uk/canicross)
Canicross courses include potential tripping hazards and technical running surfaces, therefore appropriate clothing/footwear must be worn
All dogs must be wearing a suitable running harness attached to a bungee line and waist belt in order to participate
Camping T&Cs:
Camping is available for both Friday and Saturday nights and price advertised is per pitch per night
Entrance to the site is from 4pm Friday
Please respect other campers and observe quiet time from 10pm
Dogs remain the responsibility of the owner at all times whilst on site
Please keep dogs on lead on site, the estate is part of a working farm and neighbouring fields may have lambing sheep.
Please be aware that there are no shower facilities available. There is a fresh water supply and portaloos will be provided
Campers will have access to the estate's outside areas and cafe, please respect the area and pick up after your dog(s)
