PHOENIX - Kent - Duckython - Pluck a Ducky

Phoenix Running is inviting you to join us at the Cyclopark in Kent for the next event in a brand new series of runs - introducing our 'Duckython - PLUCKY Ducky' - it's time to Run, Ducky, Run and then Pluck a Duck!

The first 100 entries will also get a bespoke rubber ducky - a real rubber ducky that you'll 'pluck' yourself from our big bag of plucky lucky duckies. Lucky dip style, you'll delve a wing into our duck filled sack and pluck your duck - or does your duck pluck you! AND, somewhere in our lucky duck sack is the 'golden plucky ducky'. If you are plucky enough to choose our golden duck then you get a FREE race entry too - how plucky lucky ducky are you?

And, of course, every single entry gets the massive 130mm spinning Run Ducky Run, Plucky Ducky medal - undoubtedly one of our finest yet and made from drawings that my youngest daughter did of her favourite rubber duckies..

So the first 100 get to 'pluck their duck' from our sack and you get the awesome medal and everyone, no mater when you enter, gets the awesome medal. Quack, Quack!

This is one of our timed events where you choose - from 5km to 10k, half to marathon to ultra, you can complete as many, or as few, laps as you like of a 5.3km, 3.28 mile, looped, course around tarmac track and off-road trails near the Cyclopark. You can even include the local parkrun as your first lap because you register with us first, run on our routes and we coordinate our start time with them and time your whole event - win, win! We welcome all abilities of runner - complete one lap and you're both a finisher and a winner in our eyes, or keep going and see how far you can get in the full 7 hour time limit and everyone gets the fabulous bespoke finishers' medal.

Whilst Phoenix Running is very much about the bling, and in this case the rubber ducky, and our medals are second to none, we're also acutely conscious that events can be expensive to enter and times are tough right now. We're now in our 13^th year of fixed prices for our standard themed events, but to try and do our bit we're offering a 'no medal / no ducky' entry option at a flat £20. We cover our base costs, you get a run with all the usual Phoenix support, epic aid station, same day results published, athletes profiles, Phoenix World, digital BIBs, digital finishers certificates, etc, etc but without a medal we can keep the price low for this entry option.

Not sure? Well the beauty of this format is that you don't even need to decide in advance - simply come and run a lap and see how you feel on the day and keep on going if it feels right.

Places will be strictly limited so don't leave it too late to enter.

Off road trail, the terrain is a mixture of smooth tarmac and off road trails. Undulating. Minimum distance is 3.28 miles or as far as you can go in 7 hours.
