Stride Out Athletics are proud to announce the opportunity to race in graded 5,000m and 10,000m on Middlesbrough Sports Village’s athletics track.
Races will be mixed and graded according to predicted times.
The minimum entry standard is as follows:
- 5,000m - 22 minutes or faster
- 10,000m - 45 minutes or faster
The minimum age of entry is U20 as defined by UKA rules (i.e. aged 17 or older on 31/8/21)
Facilities at Middlesbrough Sports Village include; parking, toilets, changing, indoor track and vending/cafe.
Further information including timetable of races will be sent to entrants on Monday 12 July.
This event will be delivered in full compliance with the government’s covid guidance on 14 July 2021

Please note that the referee will be strict on the new ‘super fast’ show rule. UKA take the line it is the athletes responsibility to know if their shoes are legal or not. The NECAA policy has been to advise runners to bring two pairs of racing shoes if in doubt. If a runner is adamant they won’t change we let them run but they are DQd. Runners declare that they will abide by the rules of UK Athletics and of the event. They understand and agree that they participate in the event entirely at their own risk and that the organisers, volunteers, partners & associates will be in no way liable for any loss, injury or death, damage, claim or expense which may arise before, during or after the event regardless of the cause.
Runners must run safely with consideration for others. All Runners agree to the conditions as part of their entry and agree to follow the instructions given by the organisers.
Entry fees are non refundable unless the event is cancelled.
Entries are not transferable.
