All runners get to enjoy free locally made artisan icecream at the finish thanks to The Oxford Cow!
There is also a kids' fun run with the Cow & Calf Cup awarded to the fastest 10k runner who also completed the fun run with their child / children.
The course
The Longworth 10K is a beautiful run through rolling Oxfordshire countryside and along the Thames.
Starting on a gravel track at the east end of the village, it runs along the ridge and then down to the river. Just short of the river you turn on to grass track and stay on grass / dirt as you follow the Thames Path west. When you leave the Thamas path, you're back on gravel / concrete farm track as you climb up the "yellow brick road" and back along the bridle path from Hinton Waldrist. The finish is outside the gorgeous Longworth Manor.
A stunning run, but not the course for a PB!
The facilities
Parking, changing rooms, toilets and bag .
There are markers every kilometre on the course and water stops at approximately the 3 & 8km points, and at the finish.
There will be ice cream at the finish! And a fine local pub in the village.
On the day entry is available, up to our race limit of 200 runners.
