Last Runner Standing is a brand new concept, we belive the first of its kind here in Wales.
Fancy winning £100 cash plus a large trophy and being crowned the Last Runner Standing?
Can you run 1.3 miles in 20 minutes? If so you are welcome to enter and for completing this lap once you will receive the medal and goody bag. The course is a simple lap of Bryn Bach park which is completely flat with no junctions, turns or deviation.
So what's the catch?
The first lap will start at 9:30 and you have 20 minutes to complete the lap of the lake. Sounds easy? Everyone who gets back before 9:50 is through to the next round. Drinks and loads and loads of goodies available to eat until the next lap starts
Round 2 starts at 9:50 on the dot and is another lap of the lake. However, this time you have just 18 minutes to get back. Again all those back in time go through to the next round. Those eliminated receive the medal and goody bag and are out.
So this concept continues every 20 minutes with the time reducing each section until we have our last runner standing. Time will continue to reduce by a minute or so until we then need to adapt to the runners and reduce by 30 seconds. This will be adapted on the day to suit the runners left
The winner receives the goody bag and medal PLUS £100 prize money and large trophy for being the Last Runner Standing.
This event is open to all abilities as the first few lap times are easy to achieve even if you walked.
