Hob Hurst's Fell Race is a new but traditional summer fell race in the Peak District, which took place for the first time in 2018.

Starting and finishing at Duke's Barn on the edge of the Chatsworth Estate, the race will climb up through Hell Bank Plantation and across the high moorland to reach the historic Hob Hurst's House. Competitors will then enjoy a long and fast descent back to the village via Beeley Hill top.

The race, which kicks off our Peak District Trail Running Weekender, will operate in accordance with UK Athletics rules under Fell Running Association License. 'Runners' Rules' for Fell Races can be found here.

Hob Hurst's Fell Race is held in accordance with UK Athletics and Fell Runners Association Rules. By entering the race you confirm your acceptance of the following statements :

  • I accept the hazards inherent in fell running and acknowledge that I am entering and running this race at my own risk.
  • I confirm that I am aware of the rules imposed on me by the Race Organiser and that I will comply with them.
  • I confirm that I have read and will comply with, the FRA 'Requirements for Runners'.
  • I acknowledge and agree that I am responsible for determining whether I have the skills, equipment and fitness
