Hagbourne Fun Run & Walk 2026: WALKER ENTRIES

The Hagbourne Fun Run and Walk is an annual, family friendly village event which takes place on the early May bank holiday Monday. The event has been running since 1990 and raises money for local causes and cancer charities.

The course is 4.5 mile / 7.1 km, multi-terrain starting and ending in East Hagbourne, South Oxfordshire. Mainly on footpaths and bridleways (1 short section of public road through Upton Village) it goes via West Hagbourne, Upton and Blewbury before returning to East Hagbourne. The route includes a number of stiles and kissing gates and can be muddy & uneven in parts. It is NOT suitable for buggies, wheelchairs or mobility scooters.

The event is open to walkers of all ages. Dogs are welcome with walkers but not with runners.

Please enter online via this site to secure your place as a walker. We have a maximum of 200 walker places. On the day walker entries will be available from Hagbourne Village Hall between 9am and 10.15am - subject to availability.

Pre-booked walkers: please come to Hagbourne Village Hall between 9am and 10.15am on race day to collect your 'entry sticker'. You will just need to give your name to collect your sticker. Please wear the sticker during the event to indicate your entry. Walkers do not need a race number. The walk starts at 11am and the walkers finish line will close at 12.30 - giving you 1.5 hours to complete the 4.5 mile route. If you finish the walk after 12.30 please come along to the village hall to enjoy the refreshments - which will be on sale until 1.00pm.

The run and walk will be followed by entertainment and prize giving at race HQ - East Hagbourne Village Hall, OX11 9LR. Please note that the entertainment will commence at around 11am. There will also be delicious hot food, home made cakes and hot and cold drinks will be on sale from 9am-1pm at race HQ.

10.45 All participants to gather in start field at Manor Farm Lane

11.00 Run Start - followed by walkers - Manor Farm Lane

12.00 Entertainment - Hagbourne Village Hall

12.30 Walkers' finish line closes

12.40 (approx) Prize Giving - Hagbourne Village Hall

Hot and cold food and drinks available at Hagbourne Village Hall from 9.00 - 13.00
