A 13.5 mile run along the canal from Blaby to Foxton Locks to raise money for The Chernobyl Children's Project UK.

A bus will be provided from Foxton Road Livestock Market, (Parking will be at both the LIvestock Market £1 and Foxton Locks top car park £3 P&D fee on Gumley Road), to take runners back to Winchester Ave, Blaby, they will then be able to run along the beautiful Grand Union Canal back to Foxton Locks.

There will be a refreshment stop at around 8 miles at Bridge House Barn, providing water and cake.

Water and a snack will be provided at the end, most likely in the form of a cheese roll (Vegans and Gluten Free can be accommodated if prior notice given), and the opportunity to purchase a well deserved beer!

Runners are asked to carry water with them and any food they require for the run. All runners should remain in pairs as a minimum, and carry a mobile phone.

It is self navigating, although very simple, just follow the canal! Maps and gpx files will be emailed to participants before the event, but the route really is very straighforward!

The run is unsupported, but an emergency phone number will be provided. We suggest that all participants download the app 'What3Words' onto their phones prior to the start. This app gives your precise location should you require medical help.

This is all about having the opportunity to run a different route, without worrying about transport or getting lost, enjoying the beautiful waterway through very rural parts of Leicestershire, and helping to raise money for a good cause. This is not a race, and times and positions will not be recorded. It is all about just a stunning run with friends!

There is a very unique medal available for just £3.50 on pre order when completing your entry.

Due to towpath management agreements, and insurance, we are unable to allow on the event.

The bus is limited to 90 entrants only, please make sure you the correct entry category if you wish to travel on the bus. If we have enough people to put on a second bus, we can do this, but maximum overall entries will still be 300.

Bus will leave Foxton Road Livestock Market at 8.40am

Register onto the bus from 8.20am

There will not be a mass start. Runners using their own transport can register at Blaby and begin running from 9am. The bus will arrive at around 9.30am and final runners must leave within 10minutes.

Time limit to reach the finish line is 1.30pm

Parking at Gumley Road, Foxton Locks Top Car Park is £3 all day pay and display. Spaces limited to 50 vehicles, this is a short walk away from where the buses will be at Livestock Market where limited parking is also available for £1
