Inverclyde Stride is a fundraising walk designed to make a big difference to voluntary organisations of Inverclyde.

Created by CVS Inverclyde and in partnership with Inverclyde Community Fund, the Inverclyde Stride is a 18 mile (30k) walk following the Inverclyde coast, starting at Parklea Branching Out in Port Glasgow and finishing at Inverkip Community Hub. The route will take in many of Inverclyde's best sites, including Newark Castle, Coronation Park, The Esplanade, Cloch Lighthouse and Ardgowan Estate.

We will also be offering a shorter route of 4 miles, beginning at Lunderston Bay Beach and finishing at Inverkip Community Hub.

The registration fee will cover the costs of organising the event. Any money collected for fundraising will go directly to the voluntary organisations for which walkers are taking part.

Children under the age of 16 may participate if closely accompanied by a registered adult participant throughout the course.

Please note:

  • The route includes the crossing of roads. Whilst the route will be marshalled, participants must obey the Highway Code and are advised to obey marshal’s instructions, while relying on their own ability in dealing with hazards.
